16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence is almost here! From November 25th to December 10th, the Institute for International Women’s Rights – Manitoba (IIWR-MB) invites you to participate in this campaign.
Check out the IIWR-MB web site – http://iiwrmb.ca/. We will be highlighting actions taking place here in Winnipeg, but also around the world. Let’s join the many voices saying Violence Against All Women and Girls Must Stop! Read the letters that have been sent to the Prime Minister, Premier, Mayor, Chief of Police and the CMHR. The IIWR-MB campaign is based on a recent resolution passed at the Human Rights Council, supported by Canada, “Accelerate Efforts to Eliminate Violence Against Women: Prevent, and Respond to Violence Against Women and Girls, Including Indigenous Women and Girls”.
Check out the IIWR-MB facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/InstituteInternationalWomensRightsManitoba/. Lots of special features and links, including the launch of Mary Black’s spoken word “I Won’t Be Quiet!”, prepared by Michael Kannon.
