Pride 2022 Community of Practice EDI Event
Advocating for Positive Change in Health Care: Channeling Our Own Life Experiences into Helping Others Navigate the Health Care System.
Join RFHS Community of Practice’s Ellie Caslake in conversation with Shandi Strong on advocacy within and outside of one’s own Community; how it involves using one’s voice, power, and resources to support others who are not always heard; and, how we each might do that in accordance with the wishes and desires of those being supported.
2SLGBTQIA+ individuals are often victims of discrimination, marginalization, and abuse. Their life experience brings with it, the power to affect change by way of sharing personal stories. Not to address stereotypes, but to share how things could be.
Guest Speaker: Shandi Strong
