This presentation will be a brief introduction to the Battle of Batoche and its significance within Métis history and dispossession. Following the presentation folks will get a chance to learn about resources to research their own family during the battle. I am excited to partner with a new graduate student in Indigenous studies, Lydia Gork who will be presenting on the Battle of Batoche.
