Where Do We Go from Here? Counter-Responses to the Sixties Scoop, Critiques of Colonial Power and Cultural Resurgence

In this research talk, Natasha Stirrett will focus on the Sixties Scoop as an entry point to consider the relationship between indigenous people, social movements and the settler colonial state. Drawing on theoretical critiques, preliminary interviews and her engagement as an activist scholar, she will discuss the tensions, connections and relationships that emerge out of this important and timely conversation.
