On the theme of his lecture, Drew Hayden Taylor notes: “I will talk about the changing face of Indigenous literature and my journey through its turbulent waters. When I was born, Indigenous literature was practically non-existent. Today there is a new book by a First Nation/Métis/Inuit author released every week, and it’s not exactly what your grandparents used to read.”
