Speaker: Shireen Bell, MN, RN, CCCI and PhD (c) Shireen Bell is a registered nurse and nurse educator at Red Deer Polytechnic in Alberta. She has worked in a variety of practice areas over 30 years, including medical, surgical, emergency room and perioperative care. She transitioned into nursing education 16 years ago, puruing certification as a clinical educator (CCCI) through the Canadian Association for Schools of Nursing (CASN). She recently served almost two years as associate dean for both the practical nursing and baccalaureate nursing programs at Red Deer Polytechnic. Her PhD research focus explores expressions of resilience in undergraduate nursing students who come from Black, Indigenous or Person of Colour (BIPOC) communities.
