Jaymie Patricia Heilman, University of Alberta

Jaymie Patrica Heilman is a historian of Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on indigenous political activism and radical politics in twentieth-century Peru. She will be discussing her book Now Peru is Mine and her collaboration with co-author and indigenous peasant activist Manuel Llamojha Mitma, one of twentieth-century Peru’s most creative and dedicated political figures.
