The Shameless Circle is a volunteer-led healing circle for women aimed to end stigma around shaming women for standing up for themselves and their children. We provide a safe space for women who suffer from isolation and are seeking a sense of community. We come together as a group every Sunday and engage participants in meaningful, self empowering, free activities that helps them regain their sense of community and belonging. Shameless Circle was founded last year and since its inception has received an overwhelming response. Since last year, we have helped organize more than 20 self empowerment sessions with over 100 women, that include free self defense classes, workshops and self care etc.
The Shameless Circle will be hosting its first Annual Fundraising Dinner on September 14, 2019 at 6 pm at the Irish Association of Manitoba. Guest Speakers include Rochelle Squires, Minister Responsible for the Status of women and Craig Heisenger, Assistant General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets and Mitch Bourbonniere. Our goal is to continue providing free programming for women and kids to help them build a community of their own when faced with challenges and isolation. We strongly believe in making a difference for all women in need. From a free hair cut to free workshops – our sole aim is to provide women with whatever they need to overcome hardships. We believe in equality and take pride in calling ourselves a volunteer community organization.
