This two-day institute will consider why, what, and how to teach about the Holocaust (Shoah) and antisemitism now and in the future.

About this event

The two-day summer Insitute will feature Jody Spiegel, Director of the Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program, and Marc-Olivier Cloutier, the Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program Manager of Education Initiatives, Azrieli Foundation. A number of Manitobans will also contribute to the program including Belle Jarniewski, Executive Director, Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada; Stefan Carter, Holocaust Survivor; Kelly Hiebert, Teacher Westwood Collegiate; Dr. Karlee Sapoznik Evans, social justice and human rights advocate and researcher.

Presentations by Marc-Olivier Cloutier and Dr. Karlee Sapoznik Evans will be offered in French and English.
