Remembering Orlando: A Teach-in About Global and Local LGBTQ Violence

This is an invitation to graduate students and members of our community to reflect on our responses to Orlando and our local needs and concerns.

The Teach-in leaders will:

* provide an overview of peace education and LGBTQ global violence,

* share transnational connections/issues facing local advocacy groups,

* lead discussion of the local context and struggles for acceptance

The Teach-in will be led by:

Mike Tutthill Executive Director, Rainbow Resource Centre, Winnipeg

Michelle McHale Organizer, Steinbach Pride; Candidate for the Leadership of the Manitoba New Democratic Party

This Teach-in is a collaborative effort between the Mauro Centre for Peace and Justice, the Faculty of Education and the participating Teach-in leaders.
