The LGBT Purge Class Action

SPEAKERS: R. Douglas Elliott LSM, Partner, Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation, Cambridge LLP and Michelle Douglas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Douglas), Canadian Human Rights Activist

The purge of members of the LGBT community from the military and civil service is a dark spot in Canada’s LGBT history.

The Manitoba Bar Association Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Section and the University of Manitoba’s Centre for Human Rights Research will welcome Michelle Douglas and Douglas Elliott for a discussion on the history of LGBT government service, past actions, and the current calls for apology and redress.

More information about the class action can be found at http://lgbtpurge.com.

Attendee meals to be purchased off of the regular restaurant menu. There is no additional cost to attend this event.
