This session will explore some common behaviors on reserve and how they came into existence and what are the common outcomes of behaviors. These behaviors include alcoholism, depression, trauma, poor self-image and poor communication skills, however more importantly to look at successful activities that promote wellness to transform behaviors to be more productive. Through many years of service in working with youth in different levels of treatment and settings there are many common experiences, through work via Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on the First Nation Community of Roseau River, we are developing good strong future leaders. There are so many transformations that I personally have been able to witness. We are happy to share the experiences and information about this beautiful and fulfilling work with those that are interested. – Jason Parenteau
