Dr. Karlee Sapoznik Evans is an award-winning executive leader in the public and non-profit sectors. She is the Vice President of Impact & Innovation for United Way Winnipeg. She specializes in strategic planning, research, social innovation and impact, and has served as part of reconciliation, anti-slavery, genocide prevention, and human rights projects and task forces across Canada, and around the world. Her past work experiences include serving as an Executive Director in the non-profit sector; leading a team of researchers for Library and Archives Canada’s Document Disclosure Project for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada; working as an Assistant Professor at Saint-Boniface University, serving as program lead for Manitoba’s Strategy to Prevent Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking, and as Deputy Manitoba Advocate for children and youth, where she led a dynamic team of researchers, senior policy analysts, social workers, investigators, and educators across five programs. In 2023, she was named by The Peak as one of Canada’s up and coming leaders shaping Canada’s culture, economy, and society.
