Dr. Rusty Souleymanov is Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba. His research focuses on HIV, harm reduction, and health justice, with a strong commitment to community-led, equity-oriented approaches. As Director of the Village Lab, he has led nationally recognized projects on HIV, STBBIs, and health equity, securing significant funding and shaping policy and practice. He is also an award-winning educator dedicated to creating inclusive, transformative learning spaces grounded in anti-racist, anti-colonial, and queer-feminist perspectives.
