Christine Stewart

Professor
Dr. Christine Stewart, who writes as Christine Stewart-Nuñez, is a permanent resident of Canada living on Treaty One. She is the author of seven books, including Silence & Seizure: Parenting Through Complexity (Wilfrid Laurier UP) and Chrysopoeia: Essays of Language, Love, and Place (Stephen F. Austin State UP 2022). Her work has been the basis for international collaborations with colleagues in history, music, dance, visual art, and architecture. At the University of Manitoba, Dr. Stewart teaches courses at the intersections of feminism, disability, literature, and writing.
