Kyra Campbell (she/they) is in her final year of the Master of Human Rights program in the Faculty of Law. In 2023, they received their Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and Governance with a subsidiary in Development Studies from St. Francis Xavier University. Kyra’s research interests include the rights of women and gender-diverse individuals, reproductive justice, and the protection of human rights during conflict. Her current work is an international legal examination of attacks on reproductive justice, specifically concerning maternity in Gaza. Previously, Kyra worked for the U of M student newspaper, the Manitoban, and is now a part of the Master of Human Rights Students’ Association. Outside of university, Kyra is a member of the National Youth Action Board for Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights. Kyra is working with the CHRR and International Human Rights Clinic on the Pride in Health 2024 event.
