Student Researcher

Amber Vandenberg (She/Her, They/Them) is a fourth year Honours Psychology BA student finishing their final year in their program. Their research interests include 2SLGBTQAI+ wellbeing, reproductive health, and sexology. Currently, Amber is working on their honours thesis which will analyze queer health topics on social media and its implications for not only queer youth who view it but also for practitioners and researchers to understand the importance of reaching these communities. Their study is under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Watt.

Outside of school, Amber volunteers as a Birth Control and Pregnancy Counsellor at the Women’s Health Clinic. They also enjoy traveling, thrifting, and crafting.
