Caitlyn Ferry

she/her

Caitlin (she/her) is a Red River Métis and mixed‑settler student completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba. She previously earned a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biology in 2018 from the University of Winnipeg and B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology in 2023 from Acadia University, followed by an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba (2025). Before beginning her graduate training, she worked in an inner‑city neighbourhood advocating for stable, safe housing for low‑income clients—work that continues to shape her research. Her scholarship focuses on reconciliation and improving relations across social groups to benefit socially disadvantaged communities. She has examined the social conditions that support collective action and how norms might affect public support for decolonizing cultural symbols in Canada. Currently, she is studying how social norms influence people’s willingness to support expanded government‑funded social housing.
