Majestic Moerland is a member of Peguis First Nation. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Treaty One Territory. Majestic is currently enrolled as an undergrad student at the University of Manitoba working towards completion of a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a focus area of Policy and Law, and a Minor in Indigenous Studies.
Majestic is interested in areas of research that include hydro-impacted communities, environmental racism, and Indigenous governance. She is committed to using her education to work with and for Indigenous communities. Additionally, she is passionate about including language revitalization within her projects as well as her own personal life.
Majestic is currently a Student Research Assistant working with the Just Waters project.
